The Eve of...

The day has finally come! In less than 24 hours, twenty-seven 8th graders, five teacher advisors, and two parent chaperones are going to embark on the highly-anticipated journey to our nation's capitol and the Big Apple. This trip is over 8 months in the making and the students have worked so hard to raise money for the trip. This trip also marks the first time that the Ilima Civic Club will visit the White House!!

Extending the trip to New York City is quite a big deal! Most of my students have not even been to the Mainland, more or less the greatest city in the world. They are definitely in for a treat.

Throughout our trip, I'm going to do my best to keep this blog updated on a day-to-day basis so that you all can vicariously share the students' excitement. Below is a layout of our itinerary to give you an idea of where we'll be on which days. Please feel free to write comments or posts to this blog. We are excited to hear from you all!

Mahalo and see you on the Mainland!!!
